Gurnee residents who want to indulge in local literature with like-minded individuals will want to put a reminder in their phones about an upcoming literature festival.
The Turning Pages: A Fall Literary Fest is coming to The Ten Hotel Gurnee this autumn to introduce literature fans and collectors to independent bookstores in the region and shine a light on the works of local authors. The organizers hope to put together an afternoon where creativity and shared interests can bring the Gurnee community together.
It is an opportunity for passionate readers and writing hopefuls to learn, make new connections, and further their love of the written word. Over 50 curated vendors have confirmed their attendance at the festival, and vendors will have other book-related goods and decor available for purchase. Flyer printing can quickly spread the word about events like this within the community, while Business Cards can help participating vendors connect with attendees.
The afternoon will also include presentations from four featured authors, including meet-and-greets and book signings. Organizers are also working with Bernie’s Book Bank to take donations of gently used or new Books to inspire Gurnee children to read.
The Ten Hotel in Gurnee will be hosting the literature festival. The doors open at noon and close at 4:00pm on Sunday, September 27th. Admission costs $10 per person at the door.
