The Gurnee Park District will be holding a Valentine’s Day-themed DIY slime workshop in February.
The Valen-Slime Lab is a family activity where children can create their own themed slime in the Gurnee Park District’s concoction center. Participants in the workshop may customize their creations to smell like chocolates, roses, or chocolate-covered strawberries.
After the slimes are completed, guests will take part in a group game. All kids will get to take their creations home after the event is finished. Community DIY activities like this may use flyer printing to generate more interest in the program.
There will also be a life coaching lesson held during the workshop to teach attendees about gratitude, love, and using a growth mindset to help with winter worries. Lisa Lombardi is the instructor for the session. She has expertise in several areas, including public speaking, worry control, and goal setting. Her life coaching company has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, Kane Country Magazine, and Today’s Chicago Woman.
The slime-making lab will be held on Tuesday, February 1 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The standard fee for residents will cost $29, while non-residents must pay $36. The activity is intended for kids from ages 6 to 12. The lesson will take place in Preschool Room 2 at the Hunt Club Community Center. All participants in the slime activity must register in advance.
