Gurnee online event points to small business success

Starting a business from scratch is often a real leap of faith, and an online learning event offered to Gurnee residents may provide them with a parachute.

The no-cost workshop will arm those who are considering making the move with information, tips, and other resources, and as it will be a virtual event, it can be attended from anywhere with an online connection. It will be focused on Illinois, and the instruction will be provided by Mitch Bienvenue, who is the director of the Illinois Small Business Development & International Trade Center.

The discussion will introduce an assortment of topics that may benefit the small business owner, and these include a discussion of what should be considered before getting a new enterprise up and running. Tips for success as well as the value of a business plan, deciding its structure and other subjects will also be addressed, and the goal is for all the students to be prepared to hit the ground running.

Someone starting a new company may want to connect with a local printing services company, as it will be able to supply them with an assortment of products that can lead to small business success. It can also prepare a logo design and other branding.

The date for this learning opportunity will be December 17. It will start at 5:30 pm, and instructions for how to join will be sent to each registrant closer to the date.
