A frosty Friday in Gurnee

Tonight’s ‘Frosty Fest at Viking Park’ is an incredible evening of family fun in the winter snow. There are many activities, so guests are asked to bundle up and come out and join in the seasonal festivities.

Poster printing was likely used to notify the families in this community and the surrounding regions about this fun-filled evening of recreation and entertainment, during which they can come out and make a few new memories.

During this evening event there will be a wide range of activities planned, whice include ice sculpting, carriage rides, a snowman building contest, dog sledding demonstrations, a visit from Frosty the Snowman and crafts and music taking place in the “Snowflake Village”.

There will be bonfires for Marshmallow Roasting, as well as snacks and hot cocoa, while supplies last. Please note that children will need to be bundled up warm if the evening is chilly and planned activities are subject to change, depending on the weather conditions. Guests do not need to register for this recreational evening - all they need to do is show up and enjoy everything that is offered.

Admission to this event is free and it is a great way to spend a winter evening with family and friends. The Frosty Fest will be this evening, January 18, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at Viking Park located at 4374 Old Grand Avenue in Gurnee, Illinois. For more information, please visit the Gurnee Park District website or call their office at 847-623-7788.
