Twin Falls to host food fundraiser

Twin Falls will be helping feed those in need with an event next month.

The Empty Bowls Fundraiser is so named at is hopes to remind people that there are more empty bowls to be filled in the world. The event will benefit a local charity organization called the South-Central Community Action Partnership (SCCAP).

This organization runs a food program which benefits over 14 soup kitchens and food pantries in the Magic Valley area. There are also numerous other ways they assist the residents of Twin Falls, such as with rent, homelessness, water, and utility bills.

Attendees can look forward to soup served in a bowl hand-painted by community members specially for this event, and this will be theirs to take home. Along with a bowl of soup, participants can look forward to live music throughout the event. There will be raffles and silent auctions as well. The funds from these activities will go toward the SCCAP’s food program.

The cost for registration will be $25 for those registering in advance, and $30 for those registering at the door. Registration should be completed on the SCCAP website. There are sponsorships available for interested participants.

Poster printing can be a great way to raise interest and provide information at events such as these.

This event will be held on April 26 at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds, at Merchant Building 3. It starts at 6:00 pm and will end at 9:00pm.
