Twin Falls ride salutes Vietnam vets

Twin Falls will be saluting Vietnam veterans with a special event marking its 12th year.

The annual Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Motorcycle Ride and BBQ is right around the corner, and it will depart from, and return to, the Twin Falls City Band Shell Park. It is open to all veterans and the public, and check-in will begin in the early morning.

The escorted ride will follow a route through areas such as Kimberly/Hansen, Twin Falls, Buhl and Jerome. Once the riders have made their way back to the Park, they will be treated to a BBQ lunch. Along the way, they will make a stop at veterans’ memorials to pay their respects, providing both a “welcome home” to Vietnam veterans and offering a salute to all who have served past or present in various branches of the US Military throughout the years. The song station will open at 8:00 am, and kickstands are scheduled to go up at 10:00 am.

Motorcycle rides and other processions can go a long way towards raising public awareness of a cause. Banners, flags, and other items for them to display as they go can be ordered from area banner printing companies, which can supply both pre-made and custom designed options.

The 2026 Welcome Home Motorcycle Ride will be showing its vets that they have not been forgotten on Saturday, July 11. More information is available through its listing on the Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce website.
