Twin Falls discovers fun of seed saving

The seed saving movement has grown in popularity in recent years, and a Twin Falls area event will show just how much fun this practice can be.

A Seed Swap and Social Gathering will bring together gardeners, nature lovers, and others who enjoy working with plants, and it will be a celebration of the joys of using homegrown seed stocks. Everyone interested is welcome, and the agenda has plenty of fun and learning in the works.

As the event will include everyone from newbie gardeners to experienced green thumbs, it will be a time for learning from subject matter experts. An assortment of snacks and beverages will be on offer. Guest speakers from the Idaho Gourd Society and B&B Farms will address the crowd.

Everyone with homegrown seeds may bring them along to exchange. They are asked to label them, including their species cultivar and any other helpful information.

Seed swaps and other horticulturally themed occasions offer a time for gardeners to gather, learn, and meet others who share their interest. Paper seed saving Envelopes, dibbers, gardening gloves, and other Promotional Products for an activity can be prepared by Print shops.

The Franz Witte Garden Center in Nampa will be showing how much fun seed saving can be with this social celebration scheduled for Saturday, March 7. The fun will kick off at 10:00 am.
