Twin Falls to craft quilts for veterans

Twin Falls sewists who enjoy making quilts or would like to learn how to do so may want to be on hand for a project day that will be held at a local venue.

The organizers of the Make a Quilt for a Veteran day, which will be offered at American Legion Hall located at 477 Seastrom Street, are promoting a fun and relaxed way to pick up some new quilting skills. It will include techniques for piecing one of these functional works of art, and quilt kits will be provided.

The activity, which has been planned by Magic Valley Quilts of Valor Group, will celebrate National Sewing Day. While the attendees work and chat, they will be able to try their luck in the prize draws and enjoy a light lunch. They are asked to bring their own sewing machine from home as well as a heavy duty extension cord, and there will be helpers on hand to answer questions if needed. Everyone who plans on attending is encouraged to bring a friend.

A flyer printing company can supply marketing materials for a crafting day, with its budget-friendly options usually being an important consideration when a function is hosted by a not-for-profit organization.

This day of creating some cozy quilts for veterans is scheduled for Saturday, February 1. It will run from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.
