Twin Falls to celebrate life of famous stuntman

Well known for his high-flying motorcycle stunts, Robert Craig Knievel, better known as “Evel Knievel,” will be honored by an event that will celebrate the 50th anniversary of his attempt to jump his rocket-propelled motorcycle over Snake River Canyon.

This family-friendly Twin Falls event will be held in a few days’ time. It will kick off with a modern day motorcycle parade with Robbie Maddison as its leader. After the parade, riders and the general public will be invited to tap their toes to music performed by Krysten Knievel accompanied by the Knievel Daredevil Band.

The canyon jump attempt was the final stunt performed by Evel, and an IPA that honors his life will be on tap for the attendees to enjoy. The Skycycle he used for his jump over the canyon will be on display, providing some photo ops to the guests.

A themed event may attract a lot of attention, and its attendees may appreciate the opportunity to purchase mementos of the experience. Promotional products can be prepared for a special occasion by area printers, and themed around the event.

This celebration of the life of Robert Craig “Evel” Knievel is set for this Sunday, September 1. The motorcycle parade will depart from Valley Wide Country Store Crossroads, and the festival will be held at Koto Brewing.
