Twin Falls prepares to golf for a cause

Habitat for Humanity wants everyone to have a place to hang their hat, and the organization will be the charity of choice for a Twin Falls golf fundraiser this summer.

The group is offering a day of fun in the sun for those who enjoy a round of golf. It has been scheduled for Canyon Springs Golf Course, which is located in Snake River Canyon. It will be a friendly competition with lots of extras, with sponsors and attendees still being sought at the time of writing.

The 18 holes will follow a scramble format, and there will be an opportunity to win a prize in one of the skill testing contests, with prizes also presented to the top playing teams. The big draw for many may be the helicopter ball drop, and the winner will “split the pot’ with Habitat for Humanity. The $125 registration fee includes a cart as well as lunch, and the contact phone number is 208 735-1233.

The local corporate community can still get involved whether they play golf or not, as there is a sponsorship program with options starting at $250. Event organizers often choose to recognize supporters by including their branding in the Promotional Products and other materials prepared by a printing services company.

This day of activity fun in support of Habitat for Humanity will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 am on Wednesday, June 25. The Golf Ball Drop will take place during lunch.
