Starting a pollinator garden is about to get a lot easier for Twin Falls gardeners, who will give Mother Nature a helping hand while they enjoy their hobby.
The Twin Falls Pollinator Council announced that it will be offering the public a chance to purchase a variety of species, and a cottage garden and Idaho native plant option will both be available. This may be a fun gift idea for Mother's Day, and the price will depend upon which option is selected.
The cottage garden collection includes both annuals and perennials, as well as culinary herbs, while the native option will offer plants such as echinacea, columbines, and liatris. These will be sold as flats, and each flat will contain 32 plants. They will be ready to install in the garden bed. A pick-up date has been scheduled for mid-May.
More people are becoming interested in environmental sustainability, and a pollinator garden can be an excited way to get started. Basic plant care guides can be prepared and bound by a printing services company, and these can be sold or given away during a pop-up horticultural event.
The pick-up date for this opportunity for Twin Fall green thumbs to make their garden attractive to pollinators is scheduled for Friday, May 10th and Saturday, May 11th. Their plant orders will be available at 2475 3600 North.
