Local sports complex hosts charity event

The Legacy Fields in Twin Falls will host a charity event this November.

The name of this event is the “Legacy Fields Dream Big Bash.” It will go towards supporting underprivileged children in the community, giving them scholarships for sports. The occasion will feature buffet-style food, drinks, and a guest appearance by Rudy Ruettiger, who overcame a difficult childhood to play for the college team he dreamed of. He now works as an author and motivational speaker, and a movie documenting his life story was made and released in 1993.

Attendees who enter the party as sponsors will have the opportunity to meet with Ruettiger in a pre-party cocktail hour meet and greet, as well as take photographs and get autographs. Sponsors will also receive items such as tickets and goodies for Ruettiger to autograph, along with advertisement opportunities. Attendees may not bring items from outside to be autographed. Graphic design can be a useful way for organizers to procure items for autographs at events such as this.

The price of tickets to the event will be $1,000 for a table of eight, while single tickets will cost $135. Information for purchasing tickets is available on the event’s website.

The dinner takes place on Saturday, November 19 at the Canyon Crest Event Center at 330 Canyon Crest Drive, Twin Falls. It begins at 7:00 pm and ends at midnight.
