Twin Falls Public Library serves as a community hub, and one of its initiatives is set to get off and running for the summer months.
The library’s summer reading program is designed to foster literacy among area residents, and it will be getting started in early June. Its grand opening celebration will be on offer in City Park, and the theme for the occasion will be Oregon Trail Family Adventure.
Kids, parents, and other members of the public who take part in the evening will work their way through the assortment of games that will be set up, and these will range from a pool noodle horse race to a buffalo chip toss, a roping challenge, wagon packing, and foam dart hunting station. Costumes are encouraged for the attendees, and a photo booth will be on site so everyone can catch some candid shots during the two-hour gathering.
The event, according to its listing, is aimed at improving literacy levels for all ages, not just kids. Poster printing services for a seasonal campaign can be prepared for not-for-profit organizations or groups by area printers.
The 2024 Twin Falls Library Summer Reading Program will get started on Friday, June 7. The festivities will run from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The library’s website offers the most current details about the function.
