Cake classes to be held in Twin Falls

A cake decoration course is to be held in Twin Falls this February.

The event is ‘The Basics of Cake Decorating’. The course will cover the step-by-step process of decorating a cake. The class will cover topics such as layering cakes, the fundamentals of cake carving, and various frosting techniques. The session will then extend to finishes such as bordering with piping, using sprinkles, ganache, and more. The class is ideal for the DIY baker that would like to increase their foundational knowledge in the craft, and improve their baking practice.

The event will provide its participants with a variety of useful items for decorating such as a serrated knife, piping Bags, tips, fondant tools and more. These are covered within the expenses for registration. Students may take these items home at the end of the class.

The session will last for a month, and features baker and entrepreneur Scotti Easterday as its instructor. Easterday currently owns and operates Idahome Sweets, a local pastry store.
