It will soon be time to talk turkey, chickens, and other poultry when a Caldwell activity celebrates animal husbandry efforts.
The 2026 Clucktoberfest Show and Market will be a boon for those who work with poultry and other birds. There are different ways for the public to get involved, and it will be on offer at the Canyon County Fair Building.
The show is being organized and hosted by Bird Breeders of Idaho, and everyone is invited to drop by and view the chickens and other birds that will be entered in the contest. It includes a Youth Showmanship division and also an egg competition.
The activity has donation and sponsorship programs in place, and a show book and online ads are also being published. A vendor application is also available for anyone interested in setting up a table in the market.
To help keep the function running smoothly, there are various volunteer positions open. Branded caps and other clothing can be ordered from a company that prepares custom designed Corporate Gifts to be worn by an event’s volunteers so they will be easy to spot in the crowd. They can then be kept as a show of appreciation for their support.
The 2026 Clucktoberfest Show and Market will be bringing feathery fun to Caldwell on Saturday, October 24. The entry deadline is October 11.
