Vero Beach welcomes return of Swim to the Wreck

An annual activity that has become a favorite for Vero Beach swimmers will soon be making its return, and those who would prefer to paddle their way along are welcome to join in the fun.

This date for this year's Swim to the Wreck, which originated 20 years ago, has been set by Costa D'este Beach Resort & Spa. Kicking of the July schedule, the location is at 3244 Ocean Drive, and the participants will head out from its beach.

Before they take to the water, attendees can treat themselves by purchasing a specialty drink or some snacks right on the beach. When they return, an American-style breakfast will be on the menu. Participants may choose to swim or use their paddleboard, kayak, or float, and they will all make their way to the wreck, which is approximately a quarter of a mile from shore. Masks and snorkels will be welcome. No RSVPs are needed, and the activity will begin at sunrise.

Recurring events can help to build strong communities, and it is anticipated that this swim will attract at least 1,000 participants. Logo Design services, including creating a branding package, can be supplied by a Print professional.

The 2025 Swim to the Wreck will be taking to the water on July 4. More information about how to participate can be found on the All Events listing.
