Vero Beach orchidophiles will soon be joined by others from a wide area who will be coming in for a special floral themed function.
McKee Botanical Garden is pleased to present its second annual Rare and Exotic Orchid Show, which is on offer thanks to the assistance of the Vero Beach Orchid Society. It will include species and cultivars that go well beyond the supermarket moth orchids.
Open to the public, the activity will feature orchid displays, and the show will be judged by the members of the American Orchid Society looking for examples that celebrate cultivation and artistry. There will be presentations by subject matter experts, and everyone can view the exotic orchids that are rarely, if ever, available in the trade. A horticultural market is also in the works for the weekend.

McKee Botanical Garden will be putting rare and exotic orchids front and center on September 5 and 6. The fun will kick off for McKee and Vero Beach Orchid Society Members at 8:00 am on the first day with a preview of the sale and exhibition, with non-members admitted from 9:00 am.
