Community dog wash scheduled for Stuart

Residents of Stuart and the surrounding area have a chance to raise money for a good cause and treat their pets to a spa day at the same time.

Totally Fetch Animal Rescue will sponsor the Big Fetch Wash-A-Pawlooza in mid-June. The three-hour event is billed as a “tail-waggin’, suds-splashin’ good time” and will feature a number of services of interest to dog owners. Several area mobile dog groomers will be on hand and local vendors will have food available for purchase. Raffle items will be available too, and some adoptable pets will be on hand. All proceeds will go to support Totally Fetch Animal Rescue. Pet owners are advised that grooming spots are limited, so early booking is encouraged.

Organizers request that pet owners refrain from using retractable leashes at the event. Those looking for nail trimming or ear cleaning services for their dog are requested to consider an additional donation to the rescue.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 21, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The dog wash will be held at 7705 Southwest Martin Highway in Palm City. The event is free, but a ticket purchase is required for a professional wash. Tickets are on presale for $50 and will be $60 the day of the event. Organizers of this type of event may wish to use banner printing or use other printing services to create publicity.
