North Miami Beach’s Senior High School has received a large donation of hand sanitizer from the Suskind Foundation, and will serve as a hub for giving it out to the larger community.
The school has received a shipment of almost 10, 000 sanitizers. The sanitizer will be given to students, used in school, and distributed to four lower-grade schools that feed into NMB Senior. Students will also work to distribute sanitizer where needed throughout the community to encourage cleanliness and protect from the coronavirus pandemic.
Principal Randy Milliken expressed gratitude for the donation:
“With the generous donation of hand sanitizer from the Suskind Foundation through the connection of the Aventura Marketing Council/Chamber of Commerce, North Miami Beach Senior High School will be able to distribute hand sanitizers to all of their physical students.”
The donation is part of the Suskind Foundation’s efforts to distribute essential supplies to communities around South Florida. It boasts of delivering tens of thousands of sanitizers to schools, charities and first responders as part of its “Clean Hands” program. The foundation was originally created to deal with the aftermath of hurricane season, but has adapted to deal with a different type of crisis. Organizations such as this often use poster printing and other methods to publicize their efforts and resources available to civilians.
The announcement of the sanitizer donation was made in late December, and the new equipment will be implemented throughout the winter.
