North Miami Beach offers youth education camps

The Humane Society of Greater Miami will host a series of day camps for children between the ages of 6 and 12 during the 2024–2025 season.

These Humane Education Camps provide interactive learning experiences centered on animal care, responsible pet ownership, and humane treatment practices.

Campers will engage in a range of hands-on activities, including animal shelter tours, pet toy and treat creation, arts and crafts, and guided interactions with shelter animals. Educational sessions focus on compassion, respect for animals, and safety. All sessions are led by staff members holding advanced education degrees, supported by volunteers who have passed background Checks. The program adheres to the Safety First: Youth Protection Program standards.

Each child will receive an official camp T-shirt, though meals are not provided. Attendees must bring a snack, water, and lunch. The program does not guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Tuition options include full-week Camp Week registration at $482.02 (including fees) and single Day Camp enrollment at $97.88. Refunds are permitted up to seven days prior to the session, minus a $50 administrative fee. A signed general release waiver is required on the first day for participation.

Host of camps such as this one may find brochure printing useful in providing attendees and parents with details about camp activities.

The Humane Education Camp takes place at the Humane Society of Greater Miami, 16101 W. Dixie Hwy, North Miami Beach. Camp dates are available from August 1 through 8. Daily camp hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
