North Miami Beach to host Studio Ghibli concert

Miami Pixel Symphony will bring the musical pieces of Studio Ghibli to life with a full orchestral performance at the Julius Littman Performing Arts Theater this April.

Miami Pixel Symphony was created in 2024 and is committed to celebrating anime music and video games through live orchestral performances. The nonprofit ensemble aims to showcase the artistic value of these genres and introduce them to a broader audience.

The concert will feature compositions from classic animated films, including My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Howl’s Moving Castle.

Accompanying the music will be visuals from the films. This will create an immersive experience for patrons. The event will also host vendors selling anime and video game-inspired merchandise.

Free site parking will be available. Ticket prices range from $15 to $30, with discounted rates for college students, families, and groups of five or more. Additional taxes and fees apply. To receive more information or purchase tickets attendees can visit the Eventbrite listing. Attendees should note that ticket sales will end on the day of the event. Individuals from all age groups may attend.
