Popular Miami festival to celebrate 62 years of art

The 62nd Coconut Grove Arts Festival will return to Miami this year to provide South Florida with access to an array of preforming, visual, and culinary arts exhibits and experiences.

Produced by the Coconut Grove Arts and Historical Association, the festival supports local artistic talent by funding scholarships of students attending fine arts programs in area schools. Coconut Grove has long been known as Miami’s original arts district, and the Coconut Grove Festival played a key role in its development. Starting out as a small Parisian exhibit to drum up interest in a production of the Coconut Grove Playhouse, the festival is now one of the largest outdoor arts festivals in the country.

The three-day festival will feature artists of diverse mediums, from clay work and glass blowing to painting and photography. These juried artists will have work for sale as well should any attendees be interested in purchasing artwork. There will also be food vendors and trucks to feed hungry guests. A lineup of vendors will be announced closer to the event date.

Art festivals will often be decorated with sprawling, vibrant Banners sectioning off different parts of the festival. Organizers may require the services of local shops featuring banner printing services to produce such Banners.

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival will take place from February 14 through February 16. It will be held at 2700 South Bayshore Drive, Miami.
