Davie landmark to delve into paranormal
The Old Davie School will organize a paranormal investigation event in July with the group War Party Paranormal.
Paranormal Investigation with War Party Paranormal is a program where those interested in ghost hunting can join a team of experienced investigators as they explore the 1918 Davie School.
War Party Paranormal will lead the event. The investigation group conducts paranormal research in South Florida and is split into two teams led by Scottie Burns and Eric Vanderlaan. The organization uses technology to find supernatural evidence and offers counseling to those impacted by paranormal events.
The Old Davie School is a landmark built in 1918 and designed by August Geiger. The building has been used for many purposes outside of education, including being an emergency shelter and office space for the Broward County School Board. The lower section of the building was transformed into a classroom from the 1920s. The school’s campus is also home to a reconstructed citrus packing house, a pioneer home, and two Walsh-Osterhoudt homes.
The paranormal investigation will be held on Friday, July 11 from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Tickets to the investigation will cost guests $40, though members of the Old Davie School and students with proper identification will receive a discount. People can become members of the landmark for $35. Organizations that host similar summer activities to this can use poster printing to share details about their events.
