Taco triathlon tests stamina in Fort Collins

A unique triathlon tradition is gearing up for another edition in Fort Collins next month, and runners will want to dust off their shoes and palates in preparation for the event.

The 8th Annual Taco Triathlon is coming to Fort Collins soon, offering area residents a fun blend of food and fitness, with support from several local brands. The triathlon is being organized by Yoga Pod Fort Collins with help from Torchy’s Tacos and Cycle Bar for a unique experience that blends taco-eating skills with endurance.

The session will be comprised of a 45-minute cycling session followed by a 45-minute heated yoga experience. After completing the physical fitness portion of the triathlon, competitors will need to eat an entire taco. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and other Promotional Products to remember the event by, along with a swag bag and vendor passport card to win prizes.

Competitors can choose from several wave options to determine whether to begin with yoga or cycling, with the first starting at 10:00 AM. Participants will also have 30 minutes between sessions to visit vendor booths for shopping opportunities, take photos, and enjoy tequila.

The triathlon will be held on Saturday, June 28th, at the Foothills Shopping Center in Fort Collins. Check-in opens at 9:00 AM, and registration is available online for $92.55 per challenger.
