Monster mug workshop entertains Fort Collins

A pottery studio is pairing up with a brewery in Fort Collins for a Halloween-themed crafting session, and area residents are invited to join the fun.

The Monster Mug Madness at Maxline Brewing is getting ready to welcome guests and area creatives who want to jump into the heart of Halloween with a unique pottery experience. The learning experience will be led by experts from Flingin’ Pots, a local pottery studio. The instructors will help each participant make and paint a monster mug to take home and enjoy.

Students will start with a slabbed piece of clay to create the cup body and base. It will also be used to make any embellishments or stylistic changes to the monster mug, helping the teeth, mouth, and eyes stand out. Flyer printing is an excellent way for promoters to build awareness of such creative events.

Ceramic paints will be available for students to use when painting their Mugs. The instructors will take the Mugs to the studio at the end of the session to fire them with a clear glaze. Participants will be able to pick up their Mugs from the studio a month later.

The crafting workshop will be held at Maxline Brewing in Fort Collins on Sunday, October 5th, from 12:30 to 3:30 PM. Tickets cost $50 per student online.
