Microneedling class to be held at Fort Collins college

A microneedling class will take place in Fort Collins in early February, with IBMC College as its venue.

Microneedling is a skin procedure that involves a skincare technician making tiny holes in the skin with a thin needle. Practitioners of the technique say this allows the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, which are proteins that keep it firm and smooth. This procedure helps reduce the appearance of scars, stretchmarks, enlarged pores, and wrinkles. People might also get this procedure to help with health conditions such as hyperhidrosis and alopecia areata.

During the microneedling class, students will be given the required training to perform these techniques on clients. This will include the rules and safety procedure of microneedling, analyzing a client's skin, caring for and using a microneedling device, caring for a client before and after the procedure, and how to clean, disinfect, and sterilize the area and tools. In addition, students will learn the history of microneedling. When they complete the eight-hour course, students will receive a certificate of completion.
