Magician and mentalist Hayden Childress will be performing his array of tricks in Fort Collins in January.
Based in the Southeast, Childress has been studying magic since the age of 10 and has been performing professionally since the age of 16. He has given shows in theaters across the United States, including ones in North Carolina as well as off-Broadway in New York City. As many of his performances have been part of Corporate Gifts, he has performed for such renowned companies as Starbucks, IBM, Microsoft, and Google.
His style of performance is a little out of step with that of usual magicians. Instead of using the typical magic props, he uses ordinary, everyday objects. His shows are also highly interactive. Beyond bringing multiple volunteers up to the stage, he also performs tricks that get his entire audience involved. Viewers of the TV show Penn & Teller: Fool Us might recognize him from a recent appearance on it.
Childress will perform in Fort Collins on Saturday, January 8, at 8:00 pm. The show will take place in the Magnolia Theater at the Lincoln Center, which is located at 417 Magnolia Street. The price for tickets will be $30-$35 and they can be purchased via LCtix.com. As the show features some adult language, it is recommended that only those 13 years or older attend.
