Learning how to engage in self-care may be a valuable skill, and a Fort Collins museum will be the venue for a day that will teach teens how to give themselves lots of TLC.
The past few years have been tough ones for many young people, and the Teen Self Care Fair will provide a venue for them to learn, share their challenges, and meet others their age. It will be focused on mental health, and it is intended for young people from ages 13 to 18.
The plans for the occasion will see the attendees explore a variety of self-care options. Yoga, aerial skills, skateboarding, art, medieval long sword practice, and music jam sessions are just a sample of what is on the schedule, and the attendees can choose to participate in any activities that interest them. Music, free food, and community resource booths are all in the works, and there will be therapy animals on site.
Offering youth access and information about the resources open to them may help to ensure good mental health. A brochure printing company will be able to supply materials for almost any event.
This Teen Self Care Fair will be held on October 9, and will start at 11:00 am. As there will be offerings for adults, they are encouraged to participate as well, and it will be offered at 408 Mason Court.
