Railroad Earth got together in 2001 in New Jersey, formed by Dave Von Dollen on bass, Carey Harmon on drums, Andy Goessling, a multi-instrumentalist, John Skehan on mandolin, violinist/vocalist Tim Carbone, and Todd Sheaffer, guitarist/vocalist. From the beginning, the group was sure they had a great sound, and recorded a demo of five tracks. That demo won the band a slot at the 2001 Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
The demo was so successful Railroad Earth laid down an additional five tracks to create their debut album, “The Black Bear Sessions,” which they released in 2011. The Sugar Hill label saw the band at Telluride and signed them, then released their second album, “Bird in a House,” which began to build their reputation.
They released “The Good Life” in 2003 and supported the album with a national tour. That was followed by “Elko,” a live album,” which dropped in 2006. In 2008, “Amen Corner” was released, then came “Railroad Earth,” which featured electric guitars for the first time. “Last of the Outlaws,” dropped in 2014, and the band released their ninth album, “The John Denver Letters,” in 2019.

Railroad Earth will be at the Levitt Pavilion in Denver on May 21. When organizers of this type of event need to create advertising, they can use poster printing for the task.
