Denver will have the opportunity to explore the orchestras made famous by The Boston Pops and Arthur Fiedler at the Pop Goes the Orchestra this month.
For the safety of Denver residents and guests, the event will be in a virtual webinar format. The session is hosted by Windsor Gardens in Denver located at 597 S Clinton St.
Moving past the typical heavier music associated with traditional classical pieces, the selections will be in a style that feature familiar tunes that tend to have everyone humming along. Active Minds will present works by famous musicians such as Tchaikovsky and Rossini, Suppe, Pietro Mascagni, Leroy Anderson, and Emille Waldteufel. Many of the tunes are well-known, while others may be new to some of the viewers.
