A candlelit yoga session has been announced for Colorado Springs this summer, giving area residents an opportunity to unwind ahead of vacations and adventures.
The Summer Candlelit Restorative Yoga session has announced the date for interested parties to sign up this June, providing a calming evening that is designed to support mental health. It is being put together by the Think Positive Club as a way to promote health and wellness in the Colorado Springs community.
The core of the program will focus on regulating the nervous system because of the number of people today who live with chronic stress, burnout, and overstimulation. The organizers hope the session will give these individuals a way to decompress and step out of survival mode. Brochure printing can go a long way with presenting the health benefits of wellness experiences like this, building excitement and improving attendance.
It will be a restorative yoga experience, which prioritizes rest and grounding rather than fitness. Participants will use gentle supported poses and intentional relaxation to slow down and begin regulating their nervous system again. It is a beginner-friendly experience, and spots will be limited.
The Next Us, located on North Cascade Avenue in Colorado Springs, will host the yoga session. It is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 27th. Registration is free online, and donations are appreciated.
