Food truck battle brings flavor to Colorado Springs

Food trucks from around Colorado Springs are preparing for a competition that will determine the best trucks in town, and residents and visitors are invited to participate.

The 4th Annual 719 Battle of the Food Trucks will be welcoming visitors later this summer, allowing each to sample foods from some of the top trucks in Colorado Springs to add their input in an effort to crown a champion. It’s being touted as the ultimate experience for food enthusiasts in town, while doubling as a way to discover and support local businesses.

Organizers have received commitments from over 45 food trucks, and attendees will want to arrive hungry. The competition’s winner will receive the title of the best food truck in town. It’s also expected to be a community celebration to celebrate the city’s diverse set of cuisines and restaurants. Food trucks can work with Print shops to produce single-use recyclable Menus to help guests pick what they want to try at such events.

Over 3,000 people are expected to attend this year’s battle. Other attractions include a beer garden, plenty of live music, and opportunities for family fun.

The trucks will set up at 1045 Lower Gold Camp Road in Colorado Springs on Sunday, August 23rd, starting at 11:30 AM. General admission tickets are $49.87 per person online, and kids 12 and under enter for $17.85.
