Once nearly ‘extinct’, a Colorado Springs' miniature golf course is back in operation. Lost Island plans to hold a grand opening, but warmed up for that event by holding its first ‘Lost Island Christmas Festival’, during the last two weeks of December.
The golf course has taken dinosaurs as its theme, meaning visitors will have a chance to play while velociraptors, T-rexes, and other creatures watch on. There are two miniature golf courses at the location, as well as a go-kart track, located outdoors. With so many things to do at attractions like this, operators might want to use poster printing to create signage helping visitors locate specific areas.
During its inaugural Christmas event, visitors were able to play 36 holes of golf, visit a number of food trucks, enjoy gooey s'mores, and take part in a snowball launch and other activities. The venue was decorated with holiday lights, and Santa himself paid a visit to the golf course a few days before Christmas. The Sweet Shack served apple cider piping hot, as well as hot chocolate, and a gigantic fire pit gave people a way to enjoy their s'mores in comfort.
Golf course operators kept a close eye on the temperatures, and finally closed the festival a day early, after inviting people to come back in the spring when they reopen for the year.
