Colorado Springs to celebrate preservation efforts for local park

A celebratory gathering is in the works in Colorado Springs for this December to recognize the people who have helped preserve a beloved local park.

The Heart of the Canon Celebration will open its doors to community members in Colorado Springs soon to honor the trails and stories that will press ahead into the future at Cheyenne Canyon, while putting those who led and participated in these preservation efforts in the spotlight. The gathering is being organized by the Friends of Cheyenne Canyon to bring an evening of camaraderie and appreciation to fruition.

Attendees can look forward to moments of reflection, as well as chances for fellow attendees to share their favorite stories and memories from the park. Live music will be provided by local artist John Spengler, and light hors d'oeuvres will be served courtesy of Ivywild. Printing services can help organizers design Invitations when planning events like this to ensure a broad reach and higher attendance.

Board President Becky Wegner will highlight the previous year’s accomplishments and changes. A silent auction with several notable prizes is another highlight of this year’s celebration, giving guests a chance to win.

The Ivywild School, located on South Cascade Avenue in Colorado Springs, is hosting the celebration on Thursday, December 3 starting at 5:00 pm. General admission costs $39.19 per person online.
