One of the most popular events in the Centennial area is on the calendar.
For more than 30 years, the Denver Botanic Garden has transformed its York Street location, a quick trip from Centennial, into a winter wonderland with its Blossoms of Light™, a display of color and light that changes constantly. Photos of past events reveal trees covered with lights of all colors; globes of light apparently floating in a lake; and a field “planted” with sticks of glowing lights. The event draws thousands of visitors annually, many of them repeating the trip.
Due to the ongoing health crisis, the Gardens is making some changes this year. Entry times will be issued in 30-minute intervals, to allow for social distancing throughout the garden. In addition, the path that winds through the display will be one-way, and masks will be required at all times, unless the visitor is eating. It takes approximately one hour to 75 minutes to see the whole display.
The Gardens recommend purchasing tickets as far in advance as possible, because the event usually sells out completely. This year, Blossoms of Light begins November 20, and runs through January 16, from 5:00 pm until 9:45 pm each day. The Gardens will be closed November 26. Tickets will be available to Garden members starting at 10:00 am on November 6, and at 10:00 am on November 9 to the general public. Poster printing can be used to create striking advertising for events like this.
