Centennial organizes spring gardening swap

A Centennial swap event will help gardeners to hit the ground running this spring, and Castlewood Library will be the venue for the event.

The Library will be marking Earth Day with a Gardening Swap. The two-hour event will offer a way for local green thumbs to share their bounty, and a variety of materials can be taken along.

Those who would like to participate can bring their extra plants, seeds, bulbs, tools, and gear to the activity to exchange, but are asked to leave any motorized equipment at home. The Seed Library will be open for anyone who is interested in picking up some educational materials that may help them find gardening success. Both vegetable and native wildflower species will be on offer, and each person may take up to three packets.

A plant swap or other garden-themed event may be especially appreciated by the thrifty home horticulturalist. Printed paper seed Envelopes, plant labels, growing guides, and signage are just some of what can be prepared for an activity by a banner printing company.

This free kick-off to the 2026 gardening season is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22. It will run from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, and the library can be found at 6739 S. Uinta Street in Centennial. Anyone who requires more information is asked to contact the organizers through Arapahoe Libraries.
