Sewing class to be hosted near Centennial

The Happiness is Simple Sewing (HISS) Studio will be holding the Sewing Machine Basics+ class close to Centennial next month.

HISS Studio hosts a variety of sewing classes for participants ranging from beginners to those with advanced sewing skills. The beginning classes start with basic tools and techniques, while advanced classes focus on creating clothing.

This beginner-friendly event is designed to teach participants the basics of using sewing machines. Students from Centennial and other nearby communities will learn how to clean their sewing machines properly, become familiar with the different stitching abilities of sewing machines, name each of the primary areas of their machines, and how to thread sewing machines efficiently to avoid jamming. When organizing educational in-person events, hosts often utilize printing services to distribute important class materials to each of the attending students.

Sewing enthusiasts are welcome to register for this class online for an admission fee of $28 per individual. Participants may use one of HISS Studio’s provided sewing machines or they can bring their own. The studio will provide all necessary sewing materials. Students are recommended to bring paper and a pencil to write down important information throughout the class.

The beginner’s sewing event is scheduled to take place at the HISS Studio in Denver on Sunday, January 10 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
