The Ridge, a 2.78-acre development at Nome Street and Arapahoe Road in Centennial is finished, according to Confluent Development, which built the center. National retailers including Starbucks and Natural Grocers have opened their doors in the project.
Confluent partnered with Equity Ventures Commercial Development to bring Natural Grocers aboard. The store recently held a grand opening celebration in its new location; it moved to The Ridge from a store in Greenwood Village, which had been in operation for over 30 years. The opening brings a specialty grocery store to a rapidly growing area of the city, where it is needed.
The co-president of Natural Grocers, Kemper Isely, said the company is committed to the state of Colorado, which is its home. He said he believed the standards of the store match those of its customers, who are looking for healthy food at good prices. This combination of consumers' desires and the company's mission of fulfilling them led Natural Grocers to relocate some of its stores, and build new ones. When new stores like this open, managers can use banner printing to create fun decorations to celebrate the occasion.
The store in The Ridge is a new prototype for the store, and will offer a nutrition education center and coaching about nutritional choices, as well as fresh, natural, and organic products, body care items, and the dietary supplements all Natural Grocers' locations carry.
