John Michael Montgomery has sold 18 million albums and had 15 of his singles go to top spot on the charts, thanks to his passionate delivery, ability to tell fascinating stories, and a beautiful baritone voice. During his performances, Montgomery regales his audiences with stories from his exceptional career, as well as playing songs from throughout his years in the business. He pulls from his early successes such as “I Swear,” a 1993 song that became a crossover hit, to more recent works.
Montgomery's career kicked off when he moved to Nashville and released his debut album, “Life's a Dance,” in 1992. Among the songs on the album was “I Love the Way You Love Me,” which soared to the No. 1 spot on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. The Academy of Country Music named it their Song of the Year. It also propelled Montgomery to country music superstardom.
