Gallatin Rotary Club to host centennial celebration

The Gallatin Rotary Club is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a 1920s jazz-themed event this January.

Titled “100 Years of Rotary and All That Jazz,” it will celebrate the club’s founding in 1923 and raise funds for its current projects. The evening will include live music, a sit-down dinner, silent and live auctions, and additional entertainment. Attendees will hear about the club’s history and upcoming work.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite now at an early bird rate of $120 per person. Those with allergies and dietary restrictions can note this information when purchasing their tickets. Attendees are encouraged to wear themed outfits inspired by The Great Gatsby or the decade in general. Event organizers often work with Stationery printers to create programs, table, and other materials.

The Gallatin Rotary Club meets weekly at The Gathering Place on Main Street, and the group works on many community and charitable projects. These include the Christmas for Kids event, which allows low-income school-aged children to shop for themselves and their families, awards for the top students at Gallatin High School, and bicycle giveaways for elementary school students. Those interested in joining the group can find the requirements on its website.

The 100 Years of Rotary and All That Jazz event will take place on Saturday, January 27 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at The Emerald Union in downtown Gallatin.
