Fun festival coming to Centennial area

Anime fans have an event coming up that is just for them.

The fifth annual Colorado Anime Fest soon will be held in the Denver Marriott Tech Center, an easy drive from Centennial giving fans of this Japanese art form a chance to meet some of the artists involved in the genre, enjoy contests, and see new videos.

The guests this year include Zach Aguilar, a voice artist based in Los Angeles who has voiced Arthur Pendragon from “The Seven Deadly Sins,” and Nikaido in “March Comes In Like a Lion,” among many others. Tia Ballard has worked on over 200 projects, including Marron in “Dragon Ball Z.” Other voice actors scheduled to attend are Billy Kametz, Sarah Anne Williams, Erica Mendez, Laura Stahl, Xander Mobus, and Abby Trott. More guests will be announced soon.

One of the most popular events at any convention is the costume contest, but Anime Fest has taken the occasion one step further, and is holding both a costume and cosplay contest. The costume contest will be first, with entries accepted in four categories: Master, Intermediate, Novice, and Beginner. After the costume contest is complete, cosplayers will be able to perform skits.

The Colorado Anime Fest 2020 begins March 20 and 1:00 pm and winds up March 22 at 4:00 pm. Complete details are on the event website. Poster printing can be used to create imaginative advertising for events of this kind.
