Food-lovers tuck into new eatery

Centennial foodies have a reason to smile, because the ViewHouse has opened its doors and is now serving hungry customers.

The restaurant had a “soft” opening on August 28, then officially opened the following day. The building housing the ViewHouse has been home to a number of restaurants over the years. The Trail Dust Steak House operated there for 30 years, but closed in 2009. Rhythms bar took over the space in 2010, but closed a year later, and the property remained vacant until ViewHouse took over in 2013.

The Trail Dust Steak House was a large barn-like building, but ViewHouse's owners have done extensive remodeling. They left the rear part of the structure intact, but created a new facade, with glass panels that allow patrons to watch the mountains. They have installed a 200-inch TV in the ground-floor bar, but have segregated it from the quieter dining room.

The outdoor area, which comprises about 8,000 square feet, has a net for games, water features, another bar, and a stage, while the second floor of the building houses a third bar and an outdoor deck.

This is the second ViewHouse in the area, complementing the one in Denver. The Centennial location's menu will feature more upscale items such as rib eye steaks, bass, and salmon.

ViewHouse owners could work with a postcard printing company to create cards for Mailing to area residents to remind them the restaurant is open.
