Centennial to sharpen its knife skills

Knowing how to properly use a knife can lead to a kitchen that is both safe and efficient, and a Centennial establishment will be offering a chance for the public to sharpen their skills.

The participants in a workshop that will be taking place this April will have an opportunity to learn and practice a variety of knife techniques. At the end of the class, they will be invited to sit down and share a light meal together, and the runtime for the activity is two hours.

The function will be led by a professional chef instructor, and they will teach techniques such as dicing, slicing, and how to prepare a chiffonade. The importance of holding the knife correctly and having a blade that is sharp will be stressed, and everyone will have a chance to use what they have prepared to craft a light lunch. Tickets for the occasion are $85 each.

Workshops give adults a way to keep on learning throughout their lives. Those who host cookery classes can count on area Print shops to supply everything from recipe cards to aprons, along with a full line of marketing materials.

Uncorked Kitchen and Wine Bar will be offering its Knife Skills 101 class on April 9, and it will begin at 3:00 pm. Seats in the activity are available for booking now.
