An event that will celebrate summer is set to take place in one of Centennial’s most popular locations.
The annual “Centennial Under the Stars” event will be back, with a laser light show, live music, and more, all in the award-winning Centennial Center Park. Details of this year’s event are still being finalized, but a look back at a previous celebration gives a hint of what is to come.
Several years ago, three favorite local bands took part: SHEL, The Patti Fiasco, and Love Shack. Family activities and food were also part of the party, which ended with a laser light show, which will be duplicated again this year. Poster printing can be used to create colorful advertising for events like this.
The venue for the celebration is noteworthy. Centennial Center Park, which is the first in the community to be owned by the city, opened in 2012. It covers 11 acres and is adjacent to the civic center. The main plaza features a timeline of the history of Cherry Creek Basin and includes a map of the watershed and facts about the area. The interactive “Viewfinder Walk” and the “Colorado Statehood Walk” add to the fun of the space.
The celebration will take place August 14, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Organizers suggest people bring chairs or blankets for comfort, as seating is not provided.
