Centennial to gobble up gourmet hot dogs

Centennial will be home to the first location of a California hot dog chain outside the Golden State.

The Dog Haus is expanding into Colorado, and its first location in the state is to be in Centennial. The new store will be located at 12023 Eat Arapahoe Road, which is across from the family sports center.

The Dog Haus got its start in Pasadena, California, serving gourmet hot dogs. Customers can make their own hot dogs, or choose from menu items like the Sooo Cali – a hot dog topped with tomato, spicy basil aioli, arugula, crispy onion, and avocado. There is also an offering called ‘The Pig and the Fig’, as well as side dishes like onion rings and hamburgers.

The Dog Haus uses 100% natural Black Angus beef in its burgers. Its hot dogs are also all0beef, as are its sausages. The restaurant also serves wine and craft beers. The chain plans to expand into Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, and Jason Bell, who will run the local franchise, says he welcomes the chance to introduce customers to the “best wurst” experience they will ever have.

Bell could work with a flyer printing company on handouts to be distributed on opening day. Including a coupon on the flyer should increase interest and bring more customers to the store.

The Dog Haus is scheduled to open May 9.
