The Centennial Senior Commission is co-hosting a car show and concert in Centennial Center Park very soon.
This is the second year for the event, which will have food trucks, a number of booths, and, of course, exotic and classic cars. There will be a Senior Resource Fair as well, and music will be provided by The Nacho Men, who will play hits from a variety of bands.
The Nacho Men are a band whose members often dress up as the entertainer whose songs they are singing. Festival attendees might see Michael Jackson, Jon Bon Jovi, Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, or any number of fan favorites. The band got together in 1980, and have used choreography, costumes, wigs, dance music, and humor to keep audiences entertained, opening for acts such as the Temptations and the Doobie Brothers.
The cars will be on display beginning at 3:00 pm and the music starts at 5:30 pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy themselves.
