Centennial plans new development

A new mixed-use project should be under construction early in 2016, it was confirmed last month.

The complex, which will include 300 apartments as well as 2,000 square feet that can be used for retail, is located on East Mineral Avenue.

Featuring six levels with the retail space on the ground floor, the complex is part of the ‘Jones District’ development, which comprises 42 acres. In addition to the apartments and retail spaces, the district includes hotel and office spaces. The Opus Group is the developer on the Jones District. Opus's Peter Coakley says the apartment building will probably have a coffee shop that will be used by everyone in the community, not just building residents.

When the final project is finished, it will comprise retail, multifamily, hotel, and office space, and total about 1.8 million square feet. A nearby light rail station, Dry Creek, will construct a drop-off area and a southern exit and entrance, which will give passengers easy access to a nearby IKEA. There are also plans for two more office buildings. Centennial expects the new project to be a prosperous addition to the city, with easy access from several routes and attractive views to the west.

Since the project is just starting, the developer might consider creating Brochures that describe it in detail. It could then make these available to both residential and commercial realtors in the area.
