Woodland Hills gala supports Kenyan women

This June, the Spring Elephant Bash will take place in Woodland Hills to raise money for and awareness of the Elephant Matriarch Project.

The Elephant Matriarch Project teaches young Kenyan women to be leaders in their communities and protectors of the natural world around them. It is a nonprofit organization and educational project aimed at lifting up young, uneducated unwed mothers in Kenya. The project offers educational advancement, leadership skills, and environmental stewardship skills to young Kenyan women so that they can become leaders in their communities. The organization works to protect the elephant and other wildlife around Tsavo East National Park, the largest wildlife park in Africa.

The bash will take place at the residence of two prominent animal advocates and will feature traditional Kenyan cuisine, including Kenyan vegan food, and wine and other beverages. There will be Kenyan musicians playing live music, an art auction, and a safari trip to be auctioned off.

Fundraising events like this will often invite prominent members of the community to attend, which may require hosts to send out special Invitations that may need to be professionally printed at Stationery printers offering such services.

The bash is scheduled for June 8 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. It will take place in Woodland Hills, with the residence address being shared upon registration. General admission is $75.
