Storage company makes room for purchase

A-1 Self Storage, has completed the acquisition of Safe Harbor Self Storage in Santa Ana, and has plans for upgrading the facility.

Operating 48 self-storage facilities in California, the purchase was completed in an off-market transaction. The property, located at 16842 S. Harbor Blvd, was first developed in 1984 and consists of a number of two-story structures on 1.5 acres. The facility covers 59,000 square feet and is reported to have a traffic count in excess of 36,000 vehicles per day on average.

In a press release from A-1 Self Storage, the company said the facility's occupancy rates and rents were significantly below average for the market. President and CEO Brian Caster is quoted as saying:

“The facility suffers from functional obsolescence, and we plan to fix that. We are upgrading the facility to compete in today’s self-storage space. We are very excited to transform this facility into ‘like new’ condition.”

As with any business that changes hands, there will be a change in signage as well as Stationery. Once upgrades have been completed at the facility, a flyer printing service can help advertise the improvement to attract more customers, as can updated brochure printing and other promotional printing.

Caster Cos.is a third-generation, family-owned company, and A-1 Self Storage is among its divisions. Since 1959, its headquarters have been in Southern California.
