Runners here in Santa Ana will soon be donning their ‘80s-themed gear and heading to the Santa Ana Fun Run coming in a few days.
The 5K Walk/Run will be free, as will the Kids’ Dash, but preregistration is still required. Registration for the 10K will be $25 but will include T-Shirts sporting the 2024 Santa Ana Fun Run graphic design.
Runners for the 10K will leave the starting line at 7:00 am, followed by the 5k walkers and runners at 8:00 am.
There will be three distances for the kids this year. The 25-yard one starting at 9:30 am will be for kids from the ages of 3 to 4, and the 50-yard one beginning at 10:00 am will be for ages 5 and 6. The 100-yard dash at 10:30 am will be for kids ages 7 and 8, and the other 100-yard one that will start at 11:00 am will be for kids ages 9 and 10.
Bibs will be available Wednesday, April 24 and Friday, April 26 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Orange County's Credit Union, as well as Saturday, April 27 at the East Parking lot in Santa Ana Stadium.
The Santa Ana Fun Run will take place Saturday, April 27 from 5:30 am to 12:00 noon at the Santa Ana Stadium, 900 W Civic Center Drive.
